Eye Treatments

The skin of the eyelids is the thinnest skin on the body. This means that the eye area is generally the first to show signs of aging. From a positive perspective, this also means that targeted topical treatments are readily absorbed by the thin eyelid skin and therefore that eye treatments can produce significant improvements in the appearance of the eye area. Because eyelids have a lower density of oil glands than the rest of the face, facial moisturizers are often not suitable for application around the eyes, and can clog the oil glands and produce white bumps called milia. Eye treatments are designed specifically for use in this delicate area, and, depending on the active ingredients, can target concerns ranging from discoloration to puffiness to wrinkles to hollows. Our edit includes products with caffeine that are designed to de-puff, sheet masks for rapid hydration and plumping of tired-looking undereyes, preservative-free creams that are ideal for sensitive skin or sensitive eyes, eye-area-specific retinols for softening lines and adding density to the skin, and powerful moisturizing formulas that can be applied thickly like a mask overnight for serious smoothing by the morning.
